clinical supervision
Supervision is an integral part of the work that we do as therapists; it has a deep significance and a complex role in mediating the creative and subjective areas of our work with the clinical requirements and accountability inherent in the services we provide to our clients and employers. I provide a reflective space in which we can reflect on the intellectual, imaginative and professional development of your work.
My approach
I offer individual clinical supervision to Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Creative Art Therapists.
Supervisees will be qualified or working towards registration with BACP, HCPC or UKCP.
I draw upon psychodynamic theory, which explores both conscious and unconscious processes. Creative exercises can be used to externalise and explore dynamics occurring within the clinical work and organisation.
My Values
Trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive. I support you to pay close attention to ethical issues, risk, safeguarding, consent, endings, intersectionality and the institutional dynamics which shape clinical practice.

Experience
As an Art Psychotherapist, I have worked with those between the ages of 5 and 17 within Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), based within the neurodevelopmental pathway at Central and North West London NHS Trust.
During my training, I gained experience within the South West and St George’s NHS Trust, working with men and women who had been in contact with the criminal justice service. I worked here for one year before moving to West London NHS Trust, where I currently work with women within a secure inpatient forensic setting and on a specialist non-forensic ward for those with complex emotional needs. This also includes working within the service to co-facilitate creative art groups and deliver a community forensic group for those who have been discharged.
Before my training, I gained over a decade of experience working as an Adult Learning Teacher, where I have been recognised for my work at the London Mayor’s Teaching Conference, and by being awarded Community Adult Learning Teacher of the Year twice. This work has required me to utilise my teaching qualification to offer Ofsted framework teaching programmes in both accredited (Level 1 and Level 2 Creative qualifications) and non-accredited. Delivery was both in person and online. I pride myself in my work around accessibility, and have over 5 years of experience delivering vocational learning and wellbeing programmes for neurodivergent individuals.
I am a trained Arts Award Moderator, and over the years have worked with Trinity College London to deliver and moderate at all levels of the Arts Award Qualification. This is typically for those under the age of 25, sometimes to those who find themselves outside of mainstream education.
I have over a decade of experience working as a Volunteer Manager and Facilitator within a range of Arts, Heritage and community arts institutions. This includes delivering training programmes for those at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Henry Moore Foundation, Leeds Art Gallery and The Hepworth Wakefield. Additionally, I have also created opportunities by working with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and the University of Leeds to deliver specialist oral history research training. Over the years, I have also supported interns and apprentices within community arts and charitable settings.
In regard to self-employment experience, I have worked as a freelance Socially Engaged Artist for over a decade, and now have my own private practice for young people and adults, treating a range of mental health difficulties.
